Things of course got busy, I got the flu (cough cough) and I didn’t get a chance to edit it until today! So here it is in all it’s heart shaped glory!

I found this giant rhinestone on the floor at my work and I’m quite taken with it. I am hoping I can find more giant rhinestones so I can accomplish such lofty goals as: gluing them to things, sticking them to my face, making refrigerator magnets (this is a subset of thing 1) and putting them in bowls and gazing upon their plastic shininess. Not a lot of free time these days what with working and commuting and having a dog and being sick, but I’ll take time out of my schedule for rhinestones.

While we are on the topic of hearts, I had a valentine making party a few weeks ago! I only successfully made 1 valentine and it was more of the deranged type than the pretty type. I’ll have to take a pic. It involves a deconstructed Boobah, a plastic baby doll head and lots of glitter. I gave it to my roommate Neil who thought it was absolutely divine. Have I talked about Boobah’s here?? Soon, soon if I haven’t.

Valentine making was so much fun even though it was just 3 of us. Gals at work were jealous (maybe not, let’s pretend) and now I’m going to have weekly craft nights at my place! I’m super excited and hope it turns into a big fun thing! The suggested theme is “Flowers” or bring what you are working on, and the secondary theme is cheap champagne.

Anyway that’s it for now! Time to eat some dinner!

PS I should say yay for M.A.C for making my skin look pretty! Plus, my new turquoise liner is amazing. It doesn’t come off in the shower, or while swimming and it’s an amazing color!

The new Hello Kitty for M.A.C cosmetics is a recent obsession of mine. Mostly because I love M.A.C cosmetics, it’s one of the few companies that I have brand loyalty to, and the colors are really great. But a large part of this interest is definitely that cat herself.

And then I saw the commercial they made for the collection and I’m sold hook, line and sinker. I am totally charmed and impressed with the commercial, it had my brain spinning at the design and my heart fluttering at Hello Kitty Mild’s adorable outfit. And if you’ve ever wanted to see Hello Kitty Bondage masks (don’t be shy) here’s your chance!

Brilliant! I want my own pink and black fantasy dungeon! And a shiny carpet that has psychedelic black and white swirls all over it!! And most of all I want the lipstick in Big Bow. Is that so much to ask for?

PS I am thinking about redecorating one of the rooms in my space so this has been a major inspiration and I’ll be posting some of the other fun images and videos that have had my heading reeling soon!

Amazing!  And, in unprecedented blog news, this post has prompted me to create a new category called, “Animals that aren’t cats or dogs” which will probably shake things up around here.

I recommend watching all of them and playing the games. So simple, yet totally amazing. I love it when the kitties tail flicks, such kitty accuracy in 8-bit animation!

One of my favorite mysterious devices is the neti pot, a small tea pot shaped device used for pouring salty water up your nose. It’s not entirely pleasant but it does seem to work, and it would probably do better if I used it with more frequency.

One of my roommates was curious as to what it was, but didn’t want to watch me do it so I offered to send him a video of it on youtube. My personal favorite has a robot like woman pouring fluids up her nose. I don’t know why this amuses me so much. It just does. On the quest to find that one I found this one. Watch, and laugh very very hard:

The post cardigan cravat turned into the silk blouse cravat:

and morphed into the “length of fabric bought in haste at walmart pre-burning man” cravat:

I know you can’t really see the detail but they looked wonderful but didn’t do so well when they moved around (CURSE THEM! jk) and had funny lumps where they shouldn’t have them. So my next mission is to make a simple cravat, which is just a long rectangle of fabric. The mastery here is in the different ways to tie it, the design is simple (unless my 1 minute of research is completely faulty which is entirely possible) but the possibilities are endless. I then want to move onto something a little more sculptural that you won’t have to tie but will have snaps or something to secure it and keep it from shifting during important tea parties. I suppose if you don’t tie it yourself it won’t be a cravat any longer but we’ll just ignore that little detail.

I’ve stayed up far past my bedtime so no more cravat pictures. Imagine, if you will, the biggest and most cartoonish and/or garish cravat and that’s what I’m hoping to make. Stay tuned, I know you’re on the edge of your seat!

I’m going to change the format of this blog a little bit to include costume inspirations as well as things I’ve made, news about what I’m doing and where, and pics of my animals. I’m hoping this will keep me posting more as well as being a a place to share my inspirations instead of keeping them myself.

I am back from burning man and more settled in Boston. I have a bit of a sickness so posting with be sporadic as always but much less sporadic…and maybe soon we’ll go back to 1 + posts a day!!!
